We’re growing our ‘home place’ the way nature intended—slowly, steadily and sustainably. We want the roots to dig deep, creating a place whose values, stories and spaces are shared with future generations.

It’s not about technology, it’s about livability.

We will be environmentally conscious in ways few communities are in how we plan and structure and build. As we emphasize the latest in responsible, green building practices, from stormwater management to renewable technologies and low-impact infrastructure, we know these efforts need to be practical for real people, for a long time.

A home place can last forever.

Most folks feel nostalgic for the home place that shaped them. Few of those places remain, or retain the qualities that made them memorable. We raise “Sustainability” as one of our defining and animating features, because to us it means more than respecting the natural environment, it means creating a living environment for families that will not merely endure, but grow in depth and flavor and color.

Don’t get the wrong idea.

This isn’t some exclusive gated sub-division. It's not about some developer's 3-5 year business model, either. We are thinking bigger picture. We're planning for the long term, for future generations. We appreciate that the decisions we make today will impact our kids, and influence the kind of future they inherit tomorrow. We can’t hide in half acre kingdoms anymore.
